Why avoid EC quick drop lists?

I’ve already showed you how to create your own targeted Entrecard “drop list” on your Firefox browser as a better alternative to using those quick drop lists that have become very popular among EC users.

Here is an even more compelling reason to avoid some of those “quick drop” sites:
VIRUSES!!!

With those “quick drop” lists you don’t get to specify which sites pop up on your browser. Not surprisingly some of them contain viruses, pop-ups, and other unwanted intrusions. These sites aren’t supposed to be Entrecard members, and the quick drop list owners aren’t always quick to remove them from their sites.

Exactly why I started doing all my EC drops from a Linux computer.

I have not seen any benefits from Entrecard other than 10 second visits.

You can easily create your own drop list using Firebox bookmarks.

Drop lists should frequently update their sites to remove infected listings.

Why use these lists when you can create your own?

You don’t get to specify which sites pop up on your browser when you use EC drop lists.

I get lots of traffic through EC, but it appears that many visitors come to the site just to accumulate credits.

The quick drop list owners should monitor their sites regularly for threats.

I agree that these drop lists are a waste of time.

I have been an EC member for a long time and have not gained much from the program.
